About Zapp
Zapp is London’s leading premium convenience retail platform. Founded in 2020, our vision is to disrupt the multi-trillion dollar convenience retail market, by developing best-in-class customer-centric technology and fulfilment solutions. Zapp partners with some of the world’s leading brands to deliver an exclusive range of hand-picked products 24/7, delivered in minutes.
The Role
As a Principal PM – Consumer Mobile (iOS), you will own the experience that sits at the heart of Zapp's relationship with its customers. The Zapp iOS app is how our customers discover us, shop with us, and track their order to the door. You will shape that entire experience, working closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Operations to ship features that are fast, intuitive, and loved.
You will go beyond feature delivery, obsessing over every moment of the customer journey - from the first app open, to the order arriving at the door and using data, insight, and experimentation to make each one better.
thrive here if you're obsessed with customers, love solving complex problems, and move fast without breaking things that matter.
Key Responsibilities
Own the consumer mobile (iOS) experience - from discovery, onboarding, and browsing through to checkout, real-time delivery tracking, and post-order engagement.
Define and manage the consumer mobile (iOS) product roadmap, aligning closely with Engineering and Design teams.
Translate deep customer understanding and operational data into high-performing, intuitive consumer mobile (iOS) features that delight users and drive measurable business outcomes.
Drive development of key iOS capabilities such as push notifications, Apple Pay, personalised recommendations, real-time location tracking, and loyalty mechanics.
Establish and track KPIs across the consumer funnel - activation, engagement, retention, and revenue - and hold yourself accountable to outcomes.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Commercial, and Operations to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience.
Stay current on iOS platform updates, consumer behaviour trends, and best-in-class mobile UX to keep the app competitive and best-in-class.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Requirements
7+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on building and scaling consumer mobile apps (iOS preferred).
Deep understanding of the consumer product lifecycle - acquisition, activation, retention, and re-engagement - and how to move the needle at each stage.
Proven track record of shaping, launching, and scaling consumer mobile (iOS) apps with high user engagement.
Strong quantitative skills and a systems-thinking mindset - able to break down ambiguous problems, map dependencies, and identify leverage points with rigour.
Ability to work closely with mobile engineers and designers, translating user needs and technical constraints into intuitive, performant features.
Experience with mobile analytics platforms (e.g. Mixpanel, Amplitude) to monitor and optimise app performance.
A strong grasp of mobile performance, reliability, and responsiveness, especially in high-stakes, time-sensitive use cases (e.g., <20-minute delivery windows).
Ideally, strong grasp of the iOS ecosystem - Apple Human Interface Guidelines, platform capabilities, Apple Pay, push notifications, real-time tracking, and location-based services.
Bonus: Experience in on-demand delivery, grocery, e-commerce, or marketplace platforms.
Benefits
The opportunity to be part of an industry transforming mission - your work will directly shape how the world experiences fast, premium retail.
