Speech and Language Therapist (Full-time, 3 Months)

Are you a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a difference for stroke survivors? Our client is seeking 6 Speech and Language Therapists to join their team in Newham.

Location: Newham
Hours: Full-time

Rate: £28.00 - £30.00 per hour (Umbrella Equivalent)

About the Role

You'll provide specialist SLT services for clients after stroke, working across ESD, stroke, and neuro pathways. The role involves supporting both inpatient and community patients, ensuring high-quality care and rehabilitation. You'll:

* Deliver expert therapy for acquired communication and swallowing disorders post-stroke

* Collaborate with the inpatient stroke and neuro multidisciplinary team

* Manage and prioritise a complex clinical caseload

* Provide advice and support to clients, carers, and volunteers regarding communication and swallowing difficulties

* Assess needs for alternative and augmentative communication aids and provide training to clients and carers

* Support colleagues with SLT interventions and professional development

* Work with local and regional agencies to develop long-term support for stroke survivors

* Develop and evaluate training for carers and team members as appropriate

You'll Need

* Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy

* HCPC registration

* Experience working with stroke or neurological patients

* Strong interpersonal, organisational, and analytical skills

* Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
