We provide venues - from major global chains to independents - with a powerful set of marketing tools to scale their venue hire business. We expand their reach to new customers, optimise their listings to attract the most relevant enquiries, and provide them with everything they need to convert new, high-value customers.
What you'll be doing
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual who can assist our growing sales team and is passionate about customers. You will be instrumental in the venue acquisition team's success by helping to drive marketing subscriptions to the platform. You love liaising and helping clients and will be involved in delivering an amazing experience to prospective venues in the early stages of their relationship with VenueScanner. Enthusiasm and energy is vital to ensure VenueScanner is the #1 platform used by venues in the UK. We have big ambitions, and this is an amazing opportunity to join a well established, but high growth startup. This is an incredibly exciting time for the business where the sky's the limit!
Core responsibilities
Proactively reach out to venues to pitch the value of VenueScanner through consultative conversations
Take ownership of your assigned city as if it was your own business by constantly improving on activity and conversion - become the market expert for both venue development and internal growth strategy.
Develop, manage and constantly improve on your personal lead generation through proactive networking via digital and face to face channels and events
Review and convert both assigned leads as well as develop further opportunities to drive and exceed your MRR target.
Nail the pitch, using provided resources
You’ll learn to be an absolute expert in how the VenueScanner platform works - conducting demos and showcasing the USPs of VenueScanner and the amazing features we have to venues
Using data and your excellent product knowledge you’ll be pitching to venues regularly
Negotiating contracts, closing deals and building strategic partnerships with supply partners
You’ll work closely with the Head of Venue Acquisition to construct compelling and successful campaigns and assist in managing the success of those campaign
Why we like you
At least 3 + years experience in a full sales cycle role
Familiarity with selling to decision makers in multiple industries
Experience selling marketing-tech and/or subscription services (desired)
Background or familiarity with hospitality contacts would be highly advantageous
A proactive sales professional rather than purely reactive with a proven track record of impacting and growing company revenue

Hybrid working: enjoy the benefits of working from our central London office (Trafalgar Square) three days a week and two days a week working from home.
Work from anywhere August: Escape to the country, work from the beach...in August you can work from anywhere in the world! The London office will always be available to use but there is no requirement to come in.

About the teamYou will report into the new Head Of Venue Acquisition + Partnerships and will form part of the wider ‘Venue Acquisition’ team.
You will work closely with our business development team which currently consists of 4x BDM’s covering strategic cities across the UK.
