About the School:
A school in Trowbridge is seeking a hands-on Premises Manager to oversee the maintenance, security, and general operation of its site.
The successful candidate will work closely with school leadership and external contractors to ensure the premises remain safe, secure, compliant, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily management and security of the school site.
Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance.
Carry out regular inspections of buildings and grounds.
Manage contractors and monitor completed works.
Maintain compliance and maintenance documentation.
Support fire safety, water hygiene, and emergency procedures.
Oversee cleaning, waste, grounds, and general site presentation.
Manage keys and site access arrangements.
Respond to urgent maintenance and security issues.
Provide updates to senior leadership on site requirements.
Requirements:
Previous premises, facilities, caretaking, or site management experience.
Strong practical maintenance knowledge.
Good understanding of health and safety.
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to coordinate contractors effectively.
Reliable and proactive approach.
Relevant trade or maintenance experience would be advantageous.
