Nanny
Salary: £35,000 – £39,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: South Nutfield
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and energetic Nanny/Housekeeper to care for our three children (ages 11, 9, and 6) and help maintain an organised family home. This is a hands-on role combining childcare with household management. The ideal candidate is proactive, warm, and enjoys being part of a busy family routine. You will play a key role in ensuring the children’s school and activity schedules run smoothly while keeping the home tidy and organised. Key Responsibilities:
Childcare & Family Support
• Morning routine: Get the children ready for school (breakfast, uniforms, bags packed).
• School and extracurricular management: Organise school drop-offs/pick-ups, coordinate after-school clubs, sports, and activities.
• Afternoon/evening support: Help with homework, prepare simple snacks/meals as needed, and oversee evening routines when staying later.
• Supervise playdates and manage children’s schedules during school holidays.
• Provide caring, engaged companionship and support the children’s emotional well-being.
Household Management
• Daily cleaning and tidying of the family home (focus on children’s areas, kitchen, living spaces).
• Laundry (children’s clothes and general family laundry).
• Organising and decluttering toys, bedrooms, and shared family spaces.
• Light grocery shopping or errands as required (using your own car). Schedule & Hours
• Core hours: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday (5 days per week).
• School holidays: Full coverage required during term-time and school holidays.
• Flexible arrangement: Twice a week, the schedule includes a break in the middle of the day (e.g. after school drop-off) with an extended finish time until approximately 6:30 PM. This allows for personal time while ensuring coverage for after-school needs. Total average weekly hours are consistent with the core schedule, with the split-day flexibility built in.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a nanny or nanny/housekeeper with school-aged children (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
• Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia
• Full, clean UK/EU driving licence and access to your own reliable car (essential for school runs and activities).
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
• DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Non-smoker.
• Physically fit and able to manage an active household with three children.
• References from previous families. Personal Qualities:
• Warm, patient, and positive attitude.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive and able to use initiative.
• Respectful of family privacy and boundaries. What We Offer:
• Competitive salary (depending on experience)
• Consistent schedule with built-in flexibility.
• Opportunity to become a valued, long-term member of the family team.
If you are a caring, organised professional who thrives in a lively family environment and enjoys both childcare and keeping a home running smoothly, we would love to hear from you.
