Science Technician – Provide Essential Practical Support to a Rigorous Science Faculty – Redbridge
An academically rigorous secondary school in Redbridge requires a highly capable Science Technician committed to providing essential practical support and maintaining a safe laboratory environment from January 2026.

The role involves providing comprehensive technical support to the Science teaching team (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) across KS3–KS5 . Key duties include preparing essential practical equipment and materials for lessons, ensuring the safe storage and disposal of chemicals/materials, maintaining apparatus, and undertaking basic administrative tasks for the department. You will be instrumental in the smooth running of the school's well-equipped laboratories.
Experience and Qualifications
- Relevant technical qualification or a degree in a Science subject (Chemistry background highly desirable).
- Proven experience working in a school or industrial laboratory setting .
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly regarding safety regulations .
- Familiarity with COSHH regulations and safe handling of chemicals.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team.
