Are you a Psychology graduate looking to build real experience working with children with additional needs?
Do you want to develop the skills needed for a career in educational psychology or SEN teaching?
Ready to step into a role where every day is hands-on, challenging and genuinely rewarding?
KPI Education is working with a dedicated SEN school in Enfield to recruit a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term opportunity is ideal for graduates who are passionate about supporting young people with additional and complex needs in a specialist setting.
In this role, you will be supporting pupils with a range of needs such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and social, emotional and mental health challenges. You will work closely with experienced teachers, the SENCO and other specialists to provide consistent one-to-one and small group support tailored to each pupil’s needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Supporting students with autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs
- Assisting with EHCPs and personalised learning strategies
- Helping to create a structured, positive and inclusive classroom environment
You will play a key role in helping students access learning, manage behaviour and build confidence in a structured and supportive environment. The role will also involve supporting personalised learning plans and EHCPs, while helping to create a calm, engaging and inclusive classroom setting where pupils can thrive.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience within a specialist SEN environment, offering valuable insight for those looking to progress into educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or SEN teaching.
We are looking for graduates who:
- Have achieved or are predicted a 2:1 or above in Psychology or a related subject
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Are patient, resilient and empathetic with strong communication skills
- Ideally have some experience working with children or SEN (not essential)
The school offers a highly supportive environment with experienced staff, ongoing training and development opportunities, and the chance to build meaningful relationships with pupils. You will gain invaluable, hands-on experience while earning a competitive weekly salary of up to £600.
If you’re serious about a career in SEN and want to gain the kind of experience that will set you apart, this could be the perfect opportunity.
