Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Lead Platform Engineer / Tech Ops Leadto join our high profile client.

Our client is a well-known global financial software business providing to the trading platform market as well as the treasury space.

The client specialises in connectivity to over 100 trading venues covering Rates, Credit, Commodities and FX as well as real-time cross-asset pricing and risk management/ They currently have a high-speed framework for implementing customised algo trading strategies.

The Lead Platform Engineer / Tech Ops Lead will manage a number of clients and services across hands on technical support as well as full operational control. We are looking for a linux / windows / Engineer with exposure to databases, networks and services who can manage a variety of well used platforms.

The day to day role will entail providing technical direction to a global operations team who address all the issues related to the technical operations of our hosted and managed systems.

• High level incident response
• Hands on Technical support – Linux / Production
• Client Management
• Management of priority clients
• Escalation point management
• Managing high severity incidents with clients and providing technical direction to the support teams
• Some Reporting
• SSAE16 compliance
• Security

This is a high profile, senior technical lead role for an experienced Technical Operations Manager with an excellent technical background to join a proven Managed Service and ASP operation within a major software house.

The Lead Platform Engineer / Tech Ops MUST have:

• 10 years commercial experience within ops / infrastructure
• Linux and Windows Sys Admin skills
• Variety of Firewall exposure
• Ideally TCP/IP
• Networking
• Experienced in an outsourced infrastructure or cloud environment
• Client management experience
• Succinct CV – tells us a lot
• Ideally Vendor or Rackspace exposure

The candidate will ideally come from a technology management background, either managing technical support teams, or technical consultancy teams in a large organisation.

The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code. This is a role for techies, those who are motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something you are passionate about.
