School Driver
We are working with a lovely SEN College in Uxbridge that is seeking a reliable and responsible School Driver to support its SEND school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe and dependable transport for students and staff, ensuring pupils are supported appropriately throughout their journeys to and from the college and other locations when required. Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport students and staff to and from the college
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students throughout each journey
- Carry out basic daily vehicle safety checks
- Ensure the school vehicle is kept clean, safe and presentable
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety and school transport procedures at all times
- Maintain accurate journey and vehicle records where required
- Work professionally and sensitively with students with a range of SEN
- Communicate effectively with school staff, students and families when required
- Full UK driving licence, including D1 entitlement
- MIDAS certification is desirable, or a willingness to obtain it
- Enhanced DBS check covering the Child & Adult Workforce
- A safe, responsible and patient approach to driving
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability, punctuality and a flexible approach
- Previous experience working within a school, SEN, care or transport environment would be advantageous
