🕒 Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday–Friday, Term-time + 1 week (39 weeks)

This oversubscribed 11–18 academy is known for its high achievement and excellent behaviour (Ofsted). With brand-new specialist facilities completed in 2022, including three workshops, two computer suites, and dedicated areas for 3D printing and laser cutting, this is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and motivated Design & Technology Technician to join their team.
🔧 The Role
As DT Technician, you will:
*
Prepare and organise resources for practical lessons (woods, metals, plastics).
*
Set up, maintain, and operate workshop machinery and equipment.
*
Support exciting projects using 3D printing and laser cutting.
*
Maintain machinery and manage ordering of supplies.
*
Assist staff and students in the workshops.
👤 The Ideal Candidate
*
Confident in the use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
*
Knowledge of basic engineering and/or mechanics (advantageous).
*
Previous experience in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential).
*
Practical, reliable, and eager to support both staff and students.
(Full training will be provided where needed.)
