Our client is a respected Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) contractor based in Kent, delivering complex and prestigious projects across the residential, commercial, and leisure markets. With a strong reputation for excellence, their portfolio includes luxury homes, high-end apartments, cinemas, and spa developments .
The Project
The role is centred on a flagship £17m high-rise residential scheme in Wandsworth , comprising a 35-storey development with luxury apartments and leisure facilities . This is a major long-term opportunity on a project programmed for 92 weeks .
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the mechanical services installation and delivery. The successful candidate will ensure mechanical works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standard, while managing on-site teams and coordinating with the wider project delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage site-based mechanical installation teams and subcontractors.
Ensure all mechanical works are carried out to specification, drawings, and programme.
Oversee the installation of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and associated mechanical systems.
Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Liaise with the Project Manager, Site Managers, and client representatives.
Coordinate ordering, delivery, and control of mechanical materials and equipment.
Assist with inspections, commissioning, and testing of mechanical systems.
Provide accurate progress updates and flag any issues or risks to senior management.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within M&E contracting.
Previous experience on large-scale residential or mixed-use projects (ideally £10m+).
Recognised mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND in Building Services, SSSTS/SMSTS preferred).
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical installation practices.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
Safety-focused with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Package
Permanent: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum (depending on experience) + benefits.
