Legal Counsel, Non-Profit (Grants) Legal Counsel
This highly unique medical research investment organisation now has a unique opportunity for a lawyer with grants experience, ideally in the IP space, to join its legal team and work on highly complex charity law matters.
About Us
This organisation is a leader in its space and is very much at the forefront of innovation, technology transfers and investing in science and early stage drugs in order to make an impact on fighting disease. As a non-profit organisation, the focus is truly on improving the lives of patients and making a long-term difference to medical treatment and healthcare.
The Opportunity
The organisation now needs to hire a Legal Counsel to work with its collaborative legal team, which is an integral part of the complex and technical scientific work of the organisation. The role will both support and lead on grant work, particularly in the IP space, which will include identifying or allocating the ownership of IP rights. Responsibilities will include implementing the strategy of the organisation and honouring investment commitments.
You will support the organisation on a wide range of matters specifically focusing on the research, development and commercialisation of new and ongoing research. The work will be varied and will involve drafting and reviewing licensing agreements and other agreements relating to research and drug development as well as wider activities of the organisation.
