This is an additional post as a receptionist withim the hostel to help the Supported Pathways Officers
Mon-Fri 8-4pm
No weekend working or late working
The Receptionist and Service Support Officer is responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support to the Supported Hostel Service. Their main responsibility is to provide reception desk services, ensuring excellent and quality customer care for all residents, visitors and callers; dealing appropriately with their query.
The Receptionist and Service Support must have the ability to deal with Adults who may be facing difficulties and can sometimes present challenging behaviour, and should be able to deal with this in a highly sensitive and professional manner adhering to health and safety and strict confidentiality procedures.
They will undertake a variety of administrative activities to ensure that service targets are met and continuous improvement is achieved, enabling frontline staff to concentrate on delivering the core business function
Knowledge, including educational qualifications:
Knowledge of the challenges faced by homeless vulnerable and disadvantaged adults
An understanding of the principles of a quality customer care service
Knowledge of Health and Safety issues in relation to a supported housing setting
Experience:
Experience of dealing with customers / members of the public on a professional manner
Extensive administrative experience, including data input and retrieval
Experience of compiling and maintaining records and administrative systems
Aptitudes, Skills & Competencies:
Ability to communicate clearly and professional with clients and colleagues
Ability to plan and organise own workload and respond to changing priorities and deadlines
Ability to record written/financial information accurately
Ability to prepare simple reports and correspondence
