Site Assistant - Enfield
A well-established secondary school in Enfield is seeking a reliable and proactive Site Assistant to join its premises team. Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the Site Manager and wider facilities team with duties including:
Opening and closing the school site, including security checks and alarm systems.
Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general upkeep of buildings and grounds.
Assisting with health and safety compliance checks, including fire safety equipment and risk assessments.
Setting up rooms and equipment for lessons, exams, meetings, and school events.
Monitoring site cleanliness and liaising with cleaning staff where required.
Supporting contractors on site and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
Assisting with deliveries and movement of furniture or equipment.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in a site, facilities, or maintenance role is desirable.
Basic practical skills in maintenance and repairs.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a school or public building setting.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
Good communication skills and a professional manner.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
