Education Recruitment Consultant - North London
This is a position for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join an established, Teacher recruitment agency that supplies Teachers, Tutors and Support Staff to Schools across the home counties.
The role attracts a basic salary up to £35,000 + commission depending on experience with milestones in place to increase this and a salary review every 6 months.
The reason the position has become available is due to growth in one of their specialist tutoring and SEND divisions
This is a niche teacher supply agency that has an impeccable reputation and has been established for over 15 years. They have excellent relationships with school and candidates, they don’t subscribe to hard sales tactics or insist on high call KPI’s they give autonomy to consultants, you won’t be pushed into making sales calls.
Over the years they have managed to secure supply status to many schools across North London, strong relationships have been formed with headteachers and LEA officials and managers.
This is a superb opportunity to put your own stamp on your desk, you can run free with your ideas and offer a truly consultative approach with a school.
The priority of the agency is not just the bottom line profit, yes they want to make a gross profit however its more important to genuinely serve schools, provide excellent placements for your teachers.
The team that you will be working with can be relied and counted on, once or twice a week you could have the flexibility to work from home should you wish, shift patterns currently are equally shared between people in the office you and won’t be expected to work late, a healthy work-home balance is actively encouraged.
There is a small team made up of consultants, a very good compliance manager, an administrator/resourcer, branch manager, with room to add more to the team.
You will be working closely with the Director for the tutoring division who has many years of experience in supplying teachers and tutors to schools as well as being a qualified teacher themselves.
This is an interesting role as you will be working closely with schools by supplying them with tutors who will work with students that have a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities. Students will be taught off school premises until they are at a level where they can be reintroduced into mainstream schooling.
It is vital that you have a sound knowledge of the education sector and your recruiting style isn’t pushy, you won’t be set KPI’s on calls as it’s the quality of your calls that is the most important factor.
This would be an ideal appointment for somebody wanting to move away from a corporate environment, you will be treated as an adult and fully supported and rewarded for your work.
We need a confident, passionate individual that isn’t scared to pick up the phone and can build relationships built on trust and by providing excellent service to schools and candidates.
This is a great company to develop a career, there is no glass ceiling and you will have support and guidance from your managers and team.
Through the Covid-19 pandemic, they have grown significantly as their SENd side of the business has increased.
Due to COVID and socially distancing they have adopted a work from home/office shift so you would only require to be in the office 2 days a week (more if you desire) and this will be a model of working going forward offering fantastic flexibility in work hours and shifts.
