Primary Teacher - KS2 | Hayes

Location: Hayes, West London

Start: September 2026

Salary: M1-M6 Inner London Pay Scale

Contract: Permanent | Full-Time

Find a School Where You Can Grow

Great teaching happens when teachers have the support, freedom and confidence to bring learning to life.

A welcoming primary school in Hayes is looking for a Key Stage 2 Teacher to join its team permanently from September 2026.

Working with Prebook Recruitment , the school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who wants to become part of the school community, build strong relationships with pupils and contribute to an environment where children are encouraged to aim high.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and ECTs . Whether you're looking for your first permanent classroom or you're ready for the next stage of your teaching career, the focus is on finding someone who can bring energy, commitment and strong classroom practice to the role.

Make Your Classroom Somewhere Children Want to Learn

You'll take responsibility for your own KS2 class, planning lessons that develop knowledge while encouraging children to think, question, participate and become increasingly independent.

You'll have the freedom to bring your own teaching style and ideas into the classroom while working collaboratively with colleagues across the school.

Your Role Will Include

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
  • Creating a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Setting high but achievable expectations for every pupil.
  • Assessing progress and using this to shape future teaching.
  • Identifying pupils who need additional support or greater challenge.
  • Adapting lessons and resources for different learning needs.
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs.
  • Developing children's confidence, independence and resilience.
  • Establishing consistent expectations around behaviour.
  • Working effectively with teaching assistants and support staff.
  • Building constructive relationships with parents and carers.
  • Contributing to year-group and curriculum planning.
  • Taking an active role in school life beyond your own classroom.

Support Every Pupil to Move Forward

Not every child arrives at a lesson from the same starting point.

Some pupils will grasp a new concept immediately. Others may need additional explanation, practical examples or an alternative approach before something clicks.

You'll be expected to understand the individual pupils in your class and adapt your teaching accordingly.

You'll work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO and other colleagues to ensure children who need additional support are able to access learning without limiting their opportunity to develop independence.

The aim is to create a classroom where pupils feel safe enough to make mistakes, confident enough to ask questions and motivated enough to keep trying .

What You'll Need

You'll need to hold

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a good working knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.

You'll Also Bring

  • A genuine enthusiasm for primary education.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Positive classroom and behaviour management.
  • An inclusive approach to teaching.
  • The ability to assess learning and identify next steps.
  • Confidence adapting teaching for different abilities.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one , will be required.

Starting Your Career as an ECT?

The first few years of teaching can shape the kind of teacher you become.

If you're an Early Career Teacher , you'll join an environment where professional development is taken seriously and where you'll have access to appropriate mentoring and ECT support.

You'll have opportunities to observe experienced colleagues, reflect on your own practice and gradually build confidence in areas such as planning, assessment, differentiation and classroom management.

Ready for Your Next Step?

If you're already an experienced primary teacher, this could offer the fresh start you're looking for.

You'll be encouraged to contribute ideas, share your experience and continue developing your own areas of interest.

As you become established within the school, there may also be opportunities to broaden your responsibilities, develop curriculum expertise and prepare for future progression.

More Than a September Start

A permanent position gives you the opportunity to build something over time.

You'll get to know your pupils properly, see the progress they make across the year and become an established part of the wider school community.

The School Offers

  • Permanent, full-time employment from September 2026.
  • M1-M6 Inner London Pay Scale.
  • ECT mentoring and support where required.
  • Regular CPD and professional development.
  • Collaborative planning and shared resources.
  • Support from experienced colleagues and leadership.
  • Opportunities to develop curriculum knowledge and interests.
  • Scope for additional responsibility and longer-term career progression.

Make Your Next Move Count

Your next teaching role should give you somewhere to make a difference to pupils and somewhere to keep developing yourself .

If you're looking for a permanent KS2 Primary Teacher role in Hayes from September 2026 , send your CV to Prebook Recruitment today.

We'll be in touch to discuss your experience, tell you more about the school and talk through the next steps.
