"The Data and Tech programme has been a really rewarding experience filled with incredible people, continuous learning, and opportunities to deliver meaningful and impactful work" - Yusuf, Data and Tech Graduate

The Opportunity

Alongside earning a salary of £35,000 per annum, you’ll work towards gaining industry-leading experience in data science, AI, software engineering, and cloud technologies.

Over the course of this two-year programme, you’ll complete placements across different areas of our business. You’ll collaborate with mentors and experts, gaining exposure to real-world projects that support the UK’s transition to net zero.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Data and Technology Graduate at EDF, you’ll gain hands-on experience, develop technical and professional skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that support the UK’s journey to net zero:

  • Software Engineering: Design, build, and deploy scalable applications using modern frameworks and agile methodologies.
  • Data Science & AI: Apply machine learning, statistical modelling, and AI techniques to solve real-world problems and drive smarter decisions.
  • Data Engineering: Architect robust data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics and AI at scale.
  • Cloud Computing: Work with cutting-edge cloud platforms to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions.

How You’ll Be Doing it

Participating in a structured two-year programme that rotates across 4x assignments of Software Engineering, Data Science & AI, Data Engineering and Cloud Computing, where you will:

  • Be collaborating with experienced mentors and industry experts that will help you build your confidence and technical capabilities
  • Working across different areas of the business to help shape your future specialism and career path
  • Learning through a combination of hands-on activities, group training and self-guided learning.

We invite you to follow our dedicated Data & Technology LinkedIn page for regular updates, industry insights, and the latest developments from our team:

Your Work Location

You’ll enjoy a flexible working experience, with most of your time spent working remotely or from an EDF office – whichever suits you best. You’ll also have opportunities to visit various EDF sites, including # London, # Brighton, and # Exeter, with practical and financial support provided throughout.

Who You Are

To be eligible for this EDF graduate programme, you need to have achieved, or be expecting to achieve, a bachelor’s degree (2:2 or higher) in any field of study. STEM or highly numerate degrees are preferred but we welcome applications from all disciplines – your attitude and ambition are what count.

At EDF we work hard to maintain a culture where Everyone’s Welcome. We encourage and embrace diversity and how it can improve our experience and performance at work. It is nevertheless a requirement that those who join us have the right to work in the UK. Whilst sponsorship may be a possibility, we reserve the right in our decisions to give priority to those who already have the right to work in the UK.

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a starting salary of £35,000 per annum, potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.

At EDF, we believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we offer you the freedom to develop a career that’s unique to you. Here, Success is Personal – it’s your journey, powered by us. As a Disability Confident employer, we will support applicants requiring adjustments.

Working as part of a team is an important part of who we are, and something we take great pride in. In 2025, our Customers business was named one of the Sunday Times Best Place to Work. This recognition celebrates our commitment to a positive, inclusive culture where people feel empowered, supported and valued. It highlights the way we collaborate, support each other and that our people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

We anticipate significant interest in this graduate programme – so please don’t delay, apply today!

Our Virtual Assessment Centre will take place on either Wednesday 3rd or Thursday 4th December 2025.

Success is personal. It's your journey, powered by us. Join us and we'll help Britain achieve Net Zero together.
