Mechanical Project Manager

Client: Our client is a Mechanical Contractor who have been operating for 10+ years and specialise in the Commercial Office Fit Out sector (Cat A / Cat B). They stereotypically take on full mechanical systems. All projects tend to be fast paced and value between GBP300k – GBP3m.

Role: Mechanical Project Manager – East London/Central London – Up to GBP450 per day CIS or Ltd Company

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a GBP300k – GBP3m project reporting into the Managing Director. The project will be a commercial office fit out. Key to this role is managing the project at site level; ensuring it is completed on time, to a high quality and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Tender review/validation
• Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)
• Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant
• Technical submittals
• RFIs Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors
• Value Engineering where applicable
• Programming of works
• Health & Safety management (RAMs)
• Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.
• Management of variations
• Team Coordination
• Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings
• Overseeing commissioning stages
• Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover

The ideal candidate:

• Have 3–5 years experience managing multi–disciplined Mechanical Services Installations.
• Progressed from a tools background and have good technical knowledge of mechanical services.
• Experience working in the commercial sector.
