You will be joining a well-established department where students are encouraged to understand business beyond the textbook. The role will involve teaching Business Studies across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, with responsibility for helping students develop the knowledge and analytical skills required for GCSE and A-Level examinations.

At GCSE, you will cover areas such as business ownership, marketing, finance, operations, human resources and external influences on businesses. At A-Level, students will explore more advanced concepts including business strategy, financial decision-making, globalisation and strategic management.

The successful Business Studies Teacher will be able to bring topics to life through relevant examples, case studies and discussion. You will encourage students to analyse information, evaluate different decisions and support their conclusions with appropriate evidence.

Business Studies Teacher - Experience and Qualifications

• Business Studies, Economics or related Degree

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification

• Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS4 and KS5

• GCSE and A-Level Business experience desirable

• Strong understanding of business theory

• Ability to use relevant business examples and case studies

• Excellent analytical and communication skills

• Strong classroom management

• Good assessment and feedback skills

• Ability to prepare students for examinations

Salary

The salary for this Business Studies Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
