Senior Lead Systems Operations Engineer - Automation SME (Executive Director)
- Work with our partners to ensure known defects are documented and remediated.
- Work with our partners to ensure a structured SDLC process is in place.
- Work with our partners to migrate all scheduled jobs to Autosys.
- Work with our partners to ensure our DR environments are for-fir-purpose.
- Work with our partners to ensure our production access is safe and secure.
- Work with Infrastructure partners to ensure our applications have a read-only access model.
- Work with our partners to adopt existing automation capabilities (automated patching, automated DR, automated cert renewal, automated deployments, etc) and eliminate the need for manual intervention.
- Asses the quality of automation capabilities created by the wider community.
- Assist with the migration from Geneos to Grafana.
- Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and senior managers to resolve stability and performance issues.
- Experience in Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Application support experience.
- Change The Bank experience.
- Strong Payments and Banking domain knowledge would be added advantage.
- Expert in Unix/Windows operating system.
- Expert in automation using any of scripting (shell/Perl/Python).
- Expert in Ansible.
- Strong knowledge of any of Relational database ( Oracle/My Sql) & SQL queries.
- Expertise in ITIL processes (Change, Incident and Problem Management) for Application Support.
- Knowledge on any of monitoring tools like ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics , Splunk, Grafana.
- Knowledge of IBM MQ Series.
- Experience in job scheduling tools like Autosys, control M, IBM Workload scheduler.
- Demonstrated experience in remediating technical debt.
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Able to influence various partners and Tech.
