Skills & Competencies

  • 3+ years of credit/risk assessment experience, with a strong intellectual curiosity or exposure to fund finance, asset management, or structured finance
  • Ability to understand the nuances of asset management and fund finance sectors, including key players, and industry drivers
  • Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated public speaking and writing experience
  • Strong quantitative aptitude and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modellng
  • Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to multi-task and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency

Education

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis for assigning both new and surveillance ratings to fund finance transactions, including rated note feeders, subscription credit facilities, net asset value loans, and asset-backed lending facilities
  • Manage a portfolio of Funds and Asset Managers with responsibility for ongoing surveillance, credit assessments, and presentation of recommendations to rating committees
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with fund sponsors, lenders and arrangers to support analytical excellence and market insight
  • Collaborate with teams across Moody’s Ratings to drive excellence in our credit analysis
  • Contribute to methodology and technology development projects to enhance our analytical capabilities and efficiency
  • Prepare and present detailed credit reports and recommendations to internal committees and external stakeholders
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments to ensure timely updates to credit methodologies and risk assessments
