Teaching Assistant Position: General Teaching Assistant (Year 1) Location: Southwark, London Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full Time, Long Term (Temp to Perm) fixed term until at least July 2025 Salary: £90-95 per day increasing to £109.74 after 12 weeks Sanza Teaching Agency is delighted to be working with a highly regarded primary school in Southwark, seeking a dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant for their Key Stage 1 team. Ofsted Rating: A consistently "Good" school.Teaching Assistant Role: Responsibilities: As a General Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support children's learning, particularly in Year 1 (Key Stage 1). Your duties will include small group work, one-to-one support, and assisting with classroom activities to ensure every child reaches their full potential. Long-Term Opportunity: This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.What We Are Looking For: Experience: Previous experience working with children as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is essential, ideally within KS1 and/or EYFS Qualifications: A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential. Attributes: We seek a proactive, adaptable, and caring individual who can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
