The Role – SENCO We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic SENCO to join a Secondary Alternative Provision in Newham. As the school’s SENCO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of SEND provision, ensuring pupils with EHCPs and additional needs receive the support they need to thrive both academically and emotionally. The SENCO will work closely with teaching staff, external professionals, and families to create effective support plans and interventions. You will also lead on assessments, staff training, and the implementation of inclusive teaching strategies. The successful SENCO will be highly organised, approachable, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with complex needs. The School – SENCO This Alternative Provision in Newham supports students aged 11–16 who have been referred from mainstream schools, many with additional social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
