R&D Tax Compliance Specialist in City Of London
Job description
Leonid Group is partnered with one of the top consultancies in the R&D Tax space in the search for a Senior Compliance Consultant.
You will be responsible for reviewing R&D claims prepared by the Technical Consultants, ensuring accuracy, due-diligence and compliance with HMRC legislation and guidance. In addition, you will also be responsible for defending enquiries received, where further information and evidence may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing of claims prepared by Technical Consultants - including on complex submissions.
- Managing enquiries to a successful resolution, guiding consultants and clients through the process.
- Be the point of contact & technical expert for ad-hoc queries.
- Support the Consulting team on technical scoping calls.
- Be involved in pitching to prospective clients.
- Contribute to the drive for continuous improvement, including technical training and process improvements
Experience Required:
- Current background in R&D, with strong technical knowledge
- Experience of reviewing/submitting claim reports and defending HMRC enquiries
- Excellent attention to detail and able to identify improvements to processes
- Self-starter approach and mindset
