I am currently representing Brent Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a Recruitment Advisor this role will be based at: HA9 0FJ – Hybrid
The right candidate will:
Support the management and delivery of effective and efficient recruitment and selection services including advertising jobs, co-ordinating and participating in selection procedures, implementing all pre-employment checks, and issuing contracts of employment.
Ensure that all compliance checks (including DBS and CIFAS) are carried out promptly and to the highest standards, following relevant guidelines.
* Deliver the provision of an integrated recruitment service and ensure that selection processes, including Assessment Centres maintain high professional standards and are fair/equitable.
* Support the delivery of high-quality cost-effective recruitment and assessment services to internal and external customers.
* Consistently implement all onboarding activities including employment checks , DBS, CIFAS, medical checks, references, selection or assessment test results, work permits, entitlement to work in the UK, qualifications and any special checks required for specific jobs e.g. social worker employment history and registration.
* Always keep recruitment monitoring systems up to date. Ensure provision of a prompt service by taking timely action to chase references, manager reference approvals and pre-employment documentation.
* Ensure that potential candidates and recruiting managers are kept always informed of the progress of their recruitment campaigns.
* Liaise with the occupational health provider regarding pre-employment health clearances.
* Develop and implement systems and processes to support improvements to service delivery, including response handling, job offer letters, referencing accurate recording of DBS checks and pre-employment screening correspondence.
* Accurately and efficiently maintain recruitment IT systems including the HR database, online recruitment system, recruitment monitoring spreadsheets and online DBS application system. Suggest suitable improvements to these systems where appropriate.
We require the following:
* Social Care experience desirable (adults social care would be ideal), even NHS
* Successful experience of undertaking recruitment and selection activities in a large complex organisation
* Experience of undertaking recruitment assignments and projects targeting customer needs
* Experience of carrying out pre-employment screening activities
