Are you committed to helping children thrive academically, socially and emotionally?

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Mentor to join our supportive primary school team, working across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 from January 2026.

This learning mentor role is ideal for someone who is approachable, dependable and focused on helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. You will support children who need additional guidance, encourage positive behaviour, and help create a nurturing environment where every pupil can succeed.

Key Responsibilities of a Learning Mentor:

* Provide individual and small-group support for pupils with learning, social and emotional needs
* Build strong, positive relationships to boost confidence, motivation and resilience
* Work closely with class teachers and SEN colleagues to deliver tailored support and interventions
* Contribute to a calm, purposeful and inclusive learning atmosphere
* Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, families and outside agencies
* Adapt to the changing needs of pupils and the school day

What We're Looking for in a learning mentor:

* A proactive, compassionate and punctual team player
* Someone patient, flexible and able to approach challenges with confidence and a calm attitude
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with pupils and colleagues
* Experience in a school or youth-focused setting is desirable but not essential
* Strong general knowledge in core subjects, particularly English and Maths
