Optometrist, Spitalfields, Independent, basic up to c£60,000FTE, full-time. A fantastic and rare opportunity to work at a leading independent practice on a full time basis in Spitalfields. This is a dual site role with 2 days required in Blackheath (flexible arrangement if required). This modern, high-end practice boasts state of the art equipment including but not limited to OCT, phoropter, optomap, flipman camera. All digital patient records. As a fully independent business, the practice culture is extremely relaxed with a friendly and cohesive team. You will be given full freedom to manage patient care without commercial pressure. Patient care is at the absolute forefront of this modern practices core values where commercial aspects come second. Key Duties
  • Option to work 4 (tues-fri) or 5 days per week. Saturdays required every second week with a weekday exchanged in lieu of.
  • Working hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm with an hours lunch. Staff break room and facilities available.
  • Testing times are roughly up to 60 minutes with pre-screens included. Patient base is already well established and long standing since the practice opened 18 years ago.
  • Digital records provided, working with an OCT, phoropter, optomap and flipman camera amongst others.
  • The successful applicant must be an experienced optometrist who is clinically sound and commercially aware in giving sound advice to patients.
  • Contact lenses work required, circa. 30% of workload.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
  • Experienced Optometrists with 2+ years post training experience
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • Registered with the GOC
  • Happy to include CL work as part of their duties
  • Able to work independently
