We are looking for a Junior Buyer to join the team at this exciting time. This role is accountable for delivering the International Product Strategy into our International markets. To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office at least three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected. What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include
- Promote & drive a clear understanding of the M&S international customer and markets.
- Drive the International integration with the Business Units through the product and range development process and critical path.
- Work with UK market Buying and Design teams to interpret and adapt to International market trends and direction.
- Act as a key point of contact for the Partnerships Team and in market Buying teams on all BU and product related topics.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
- Working to at least Junior Buyer level in a fast paced retailer with experience working with the global market.
- Proven track record of developing and trading highly commercial ranges that exceed agreed KPIs. International experience is preferred.
- Passion for delivering world class product through global, multi-channel retailing.
- In depth knowledge of cost price negotiations and global sourcing.
- Multi-task orientated with the ability to work to work to tight deadlines to the Buying critical path
