We are working with a prestigious independent school in Barnet recruiting for a Geography ECT. The school views Geography as a flagship subject and provides a bespoke induction that mirrors the ECF while allowing for significant subject-specific scholarship.
The Role You will teach Physical and Human Geography at KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to shadow A-Level classes. The role emphasizes the use of GIS technology and local fieldwork to engage students of all abilities. Key responsibilities include:
Delivering scholarly Geography lessons using modern digital resources
Coordinating local fieldwork and planning residential trips
Integrating ArcGIS software into daily classroom practice
Following the school’s bespoke induction and assessment policy
Weekly 1:1 mentoring with a Senior Leader in the Humanities faculty
