We now seek a Mechanical Engineer to join our Property Care team on a permanent, full-time basis. The Role As a Mechanical Engineer you will play a key role in the ongoing maintenance, optimisation, and safe operation of mechanical systems within luxury residential properties. You will ensure that all building services run reliably, efficiently, and to the exceptionally high standards expected by our clients. This includes mechanical plant, HVAC systems, domestic services, and specialist equipment integrated into bespoke residential builds. Key responsibilities include:Conducting regular planned preventative maintenance on all mechanical systems across a portfolio of luxury residential properties
Mechanical diagnostics, working quickly and efficiently to resolve faults with minimal downtime
Carrying out statutory checks to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Responding promptly to urgent issues, carrying out root-cause analysis to prevent repeat faults
Liaising with Property Managers, estate teams, clients and specialist subcontractors professionally and respectfully
Maintain thorough documentation of maintenance activities through service logs, asset registers and reports
About You
To be considered for the role of Mechanical Engineer you will need to demonstrate:NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Building Services or Plumbing & Heating
Experience within a high-end residential setting is preferred
Outstanding communication skills when dealing with colleagues and stakeholders
Ability to work independently as well as alongside a team of property care specialists and subcontractors
Have a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Full UK driving licence and access to a car is desirable
