Procurement Manager | Indirects (Fortune 500)
A brand new opening for an experienced HR & Professional Services category expert to join a large, multi-site, global procurement function reporting into the Head of Indirect Procurement who’s based in Europe.
In the midst of a global transformation, you will need to be able to work at pace, be able to adapt to change and have a confident manor to engage with senior stakeholders in the UK and various countries in Europe.
Role and responsibilities:
- Create category strategies through to the delivery and performance including year on year annualised savings
- Develop category plans and strategies to ensure alignment for the group, leveraging suppliers to support local offices
- Engage, manage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to ensure buy-in, utilising strong market knowledge
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a rounded knowledge of a suppliers performance
- Be commercially astute and looking for best value across all projects you engage in, whether proactively or reactive
- On top over delivering strategic projects, ensure the business is getting the best service in line with cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
- Experience in Category Management across HR & Professional Service
- Worked in a global business and able to work at pace, in a period of change and transformation
- Private sector procurement experience, ideally working for a global business
- Confident in negotiating and managing C-suite stakeholders
- Confident in engaging and influencing senior level stakeholders, and across various regions
- A highly strategic mindset when approaching procurement, suppliers and business needs
- Excellent communications skills when dealing with contacts in different cultures and countries
- Able to adapt in a very fast paced, continuously changing environment
- MCIPS qualified, nice to have but not essential
