Occupational Therapist – Adults Social Care
Location: Barnet
Pay Rate: £39.93 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid working (1–2 days per week in the office and in-person meetings every other week)
- Complete comprehensive functional assessments in line with the Care Act
- Participate in duty triaging , screening and signposting referrals prior to allocation
- Design and recommend major housing adaptations (e.g. level-access showers, stairlifts, ramps)
- Prescribe and arrange minor and major equipment to meet assessed needs
- Undertake manual handling risk assessments and develop safe moving and handling plans
- Liaise with contractors, housing teams and grants officers to progress adaptation works
- Maintain accurate case records and produce professional reports for funding and safeguarding purposes
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience within community-based adult social care
- Strong knowledge of housing adaptations, equipment provision and manual handling
- Understanding of Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) and relevant adaptation legislation
- Experience working with contractors and housing teams
- Ability to use electronic case management systems
