Clinician scientist group leaders – The Francis Crick Institute

We are seeking to appoint early career clinician scientists to establish independent research programmes in any area of biological, biomedical or clinical sciences, including relevant areas of physical, AI/computational or chemical sciences.

The Crick is one of Europe’s largest biomedical research institutes. By breaking down barriers between departments and disciplines, we are accelerating the discovery of fundamental biology processes behind health and disease. Central to our mission is developing collaborative and multidisciplinary approaches encompassing clinical, biological and physical sciences.

Our research spans different levels of integration from genes, systems and evolution, through molecules and cells, to tissues and organismal biology. Aiming to generate insights into human biology in health and disease, our programmes use interdisciplinary approaches and diverse model systems to address issues in areas that include but are not limited to:

  • infections and immunity
  • cancer neural systems
  • cardiac and vascular biology
  • repair, degeneration and ageing
  • physiology and homeostasis
