Chef de Partie - London Marriott Canary Wharf
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Chef de Partie , you will be responsible for leading a designated kitchen section, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food consistently meets Marriott quality and brand standards. You will support the Kitchen leadership team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences while maintaining food safety, hygiene, and operational excellence.
Working closely with Commis Chefs, Demi Chef de Parties, and other kitchen associates, you will oversee food production, support training and development, assist with menu execution, and ensure high standards of quality, organisation, and guest satisfaction are achieved at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and present food within your assigned kitchen section in line with recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Supervise and support Commis Chefs and Demi Chef de Parties to ensure efficient food production and service delivery.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, stock rotation, and food safety standards throughout service.
- Assist with menu planning, stock control, costing, and daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure kitchen documentation, including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and production sheets, is completed accurately.
- Train, coach, and develop junior kitchen associates while acting as a role model for company standards and behaviours.
- Support cross-training initiatives and work across different kitchen sections when required.
- Maintain excellent communication with kitchen, restaurant, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist Kitchen leadership and deputise when required to support departmental objectives and service delivery.

- Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie, Chef de Partie, or within a similar role in a hotel or high-volume kitchen environment.
- Minimum 3 years' related kitchen experience preferred.
- Technical, trade, or vocational culinary qualification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to supervise, train, and motivate junior kitchen associates.
- Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good level of spoken and written English.
