  • Has designed and scaled complex platforms — especially in data-intensive or AI-enabled environments.

  • Thrives at both strategic and tactical levels , setting direction while enabling teams to execute.

  • Understands how to balance feature velocity with architectural quality and scalability .

  • Has experience building and scaling engineering teams (ideally 30+ engineers).

  • Is customer-centric and treats engineering as a lever for business outcomes.

  • Communicates clearly with engineers, business stakeholders, and executives alike.

  • Has experience in fast-moving, growth-oriented environments (startups or scale-ups).

What success looks like in this role

You will be recognised for:

  • Developing a well-articulated engineering strategy that unlocks platform scale and performance.

  • Building clarity and confidence across cross-functional teams around technical delivery and prioritisation.

  • Establishing repeatable, effective engineering processes and metrics.

  • Attracting and retaining top engineering talent.

  • Demonstrating measurable improvements in delivery predictability, customer outcomes, and platform quality.

Why you’ll love working here
