About the Role
As Administrator & Receptionist , you will be a key point of contact for parents, visitors, pupils and external agencies, while also supporting the wider administration of the school. The role is varied and fast-paced, and you will play an important part in helping the school run smoothly each day.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing a warm, professional reception service for visitors, families and pupils
Managing incoming calls, emails and general enquiries with discretion and efficiency
Supporting day-to-day administrative tasks including correspondence, filing, data entry and record keeping
Maintaining accurate records and supporting office systems and procedures
Assisting with the organisation of meetings, events and routine school communications
Managing post, deliveries and general front-of-house operations
Supporting safeguarding procedures, including visitor sign-in and secure record processes
Working closely with colleagues across the school to provide efficient administrative support
This role requires strong organisation, a professional manner and the ability to manage competing priorities while remaining calm and approachable.

Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Experience in reception, administration or a customer-facing role in a professional setting
Excellent communication skills and a warm, polished manner
Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask effectively
Confidence using IT systems, including email, spreadsheets and database-style systems
Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and professional boundaries
A calm, proactive and service-focused approach
School-based experience is desirable but not essential for a strong candidate with transferable administrative and front-of-house experience.
