Cover Supervisor

Smart Teachers are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisor a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring teacher or experienced classroom practitioner to support high-quality learning across the curriculum.

About the role

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and maintain a positive learning environment

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Support pupils in completing their learning tasks and activities

• Provide feedback to the relevant teacher on pupil progress and behaviour

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will:

• Strong classroom presence with excellent communication skills
• Experience working with young people in a school or youth work setting (desirable)
• Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to different subject areas
• Confident in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning atmosphere

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
