Software/ Product Engineer
Job Title
London (On-site, London Farringdon)
Full-time, salary: £50,000-70,000
Job Summary As a Product Engineer at Travtus, you don’t just build features — you shape product outcomes. You will own features end to end, from ideation and design through to deployment and iteration, working closely with product and design to craft intuitive, high-performance applications powered by AI.
This is a hands-on, full-stack role with a strong emphasis on frontend quality and UX excellence. You will build interfaces that feel refined and responsive, while designing backend systems that are scalable, secure, and AI-native. We are building LLM-powered systems, agent workflows, and intelligent automation tools. You will help define how AI is integrated into real-world user journeys — not as a novelty, but as core product infrastructure.About Travtus
Travtus is transforming the Housing Industry with our Everyday (AI)™ platform. We bring intelligence and automation together in one place so teams can move faster and work smarter. By delivering everyday AI decisions and workflows across the systems operators already use daily, our platform improves efficiency while enhancing the resident experience.
About the Role
Responsibilities
Our Product (Software) Engineers work across the technical stack, designing and implementing the products that make our solutions indispensable to our clients. You shape the product, not just implement tickets.
Tasks include:
Own product features end to end
Build and maintain React + TypeScript frontends with a focus on UX polish, responsiveness, and accessibility
Design APIs that power AI-native workflows
Make complex AI workflows feel simple to users
Collaborate with designers in Figma to deliver pixel-perfect, visually coherent UIs
Implement loading states, animations, caching, and transitions to create refined and seamless user experiences
Integrate AI and LLM agents where they enhance usability and deliver real customer value. We’re building LLM-native workflows (process guides, async jobs, agents, etc.)
Deploy and maintain applications across AWS and Netlify
Work closely with product and design teams to understand business goals and user needs
Continuously improve code quality, testing, and CI/CD processes
Advocate for delivering polished, customer-focused experiences
Requirements
The successful applicant will be a natural problem-solver with an affinity for automation, efficiency, and AI-driven solutions with excellent communication and collaboration skills across both technical and non-technical teams.
As a Product Engineer at Travtus, you will build and refine features that improve our software products and delight users.
Must have requirements:
Strong product judgement and ability to make trade-offs
Comfortable working in ambiguity
Strong TypeScript and React development skills
Hands-on Python development experience (building APIs or backend services)
Experience with Tailwind CSS and modern UI frameworks
Understanding of REST APIs, security best practices, and performance optimisation
Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, S3) and deployment platforms such as Netlify
Proven track record of shipping polished, production-quality software
Nice to have requirements:
React Native for mobile or cross-platform apps
CMS integration experience
LLM agent integration or generative AI experience
Experience with serverless architectures or event-driven systems
Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
