We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Structured Products Specialist Trader.

About the Role:

At first, the role will include supporting the team and be responsible of certain aspects of the day-to-day business such as providing client investment documentation, engaging with the wider investment community, sourcing product pricing and documentation with our counterparties.

 

The scope of responsibilities will grow with experience and ultimately, the role will consist of the following:

  • Support the wider investment teams with a focus on flow and bespoke structured product solutions for delivering beneficial client outcomes. The offering is multi-currency and multi asset based.
  • Advise on structured investments, investment theme implementation, idea generation as well as risk management, engaging with clients across all backgrounds and differing levels of sophistication.
  • Origination and trading of structured products, liaising with both internal and 3rd party counterparties daily, sourcing ideas and pricing, as well as executing orders.
  • Take initiative in simplifying the operating model by streamlining and automating the execution, and more generally helping to improve the business operations of the Structured Products team.
  • Contribute to various Private Bank investment forums and acquire a good grasp of macroeconomics and investment practice, maintaining high conviction recommendations and present these on a regular basis to investment forums.
  • Ensure that advice adheres to the regulatory environment and internal compliance policies.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • A genuine and explicable interest in Structured Products and financial markets.
  • Experience of working directly with investment products in of the following business areas; Private Banking / Wealth Management / Asset Management / Investment Banking is essential.
  • Strong numerical and IT skills paid with excellent communication skills, as it is a client facing role which will involve explaining complex information
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is critical for the role
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment while retaining a collaborative approach with key stakeholders and teams
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint and other system applications – essential
  • CISI Level 4 qualification is preferred however there will be an expectation to become Level 4 qualified as soon as possible if not already qualified.

 

This role is based in London.
