People & Culture Partner (12 month FTC)
ABOUT RIXO
RIXO’s story began in the London living room of best friends Henrietta & Orlagh, born from their passion for vintage.
Our philosophy is to evoke a wanderlust & free spirit in all our wearers, filling a gap in the market with easy-to-wear, feminine shapes and high-quality materials. Always inclusive, always empowering, we create a fusion of original hand-painted prints and timeless silhouettes to flatter every woman, irrespective of age, season, size, nationality or time of day.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We're looking for a dynamic and experienced People & Culture Partner to join RIXO on a 12 month fixed term contract. The People & Culture Partner will be responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle and driving the People roadmap at RIXO. This standalone role covers HR strategy, people operations, recruitment, employee engagement, wellbeing, payroll, and office management. A key part of the role is ensuring our people practices align with RIXO’s values - from integrating them into everyday processes to running values-based workshops that bring them to life across the business. Championing a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Talent Management
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process via Teamtailor across head office and six retail stores.
- Build RIXO’s employer brand to attract talent and manage RIXO’s Linkedin account.
- Oversee onboarding and induction; ensuring new joiners feel welcomed and connected to our values.
- Implement learning and development initiatives to support career growth.
Strategic People & Culture
- Develop and deliver the People strategy aligned with RIXO’s business goals and values. Partner with leadership and managers to shape organisational design.
- Design and facilitate values-based workshops to embed values across the team.
- Drive diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives. Lead employee wellbeing programmes to support health, happiness, and belonging.
People Operations & Employee Relations
- Own all HR administration and processes, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and best practice. Maintain accurate and secure employee records.
- Act as the first point of contact for employees, providing support, advice, and guidance.
- Partner with managers to advise on employee relations matters and coach them on people management.
- Lead on performance management frameworks, including probation, reviews, and feedback processes.
Payroll, Benefits & HR Metrics
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration via ADP working closely with the Finance team. Ensure accuracy of payroll data, compliance, and timely payments.
- Manage and review employee benefits to ensure competitiveness and alignment with company culture.
- Track and report on HR data and metrics (turnover, absence, engagement) to support continuous improvement.
Culture, Engagement & Office Management
- Plan and deliver company socials, team-building activities, and cultural events.
- Support with office management to ensure a smooth, welcoming, and well-run workplace.
- Develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement, recognition, and sense of belonging.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in a standalone HR role, ideally within a fast-growing retail, fashion, or creative business.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver both strategic initiatives and hands-on HR operations.
- Experience managing recruitment, employer branding, and onboarding.
