Drama Teacher | Outstanding Secondary School | Enfield
An Outstanding secondary school in Enfield is looking to appoint a passionate and confident Drama Teacher to join its teaching team from October Half Term 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys bringing Drama to life in the classroom and wants to work in a school where creativity, high expectations and strong teaching are valued. The role will involve teaching across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to the wider Drama and performing arts provision.
The Role
As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students' confidence, creativity and practical performance skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
Teaching Drama across KS3 and KS4
Planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons
Preparing students for GCSE Drama where applicable
Developing students' practical performance and analytical skills
Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom expectations
Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
Contributing to the development of the Drama curriculum
Supporting productions, performances and wider school events
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Performing Arts department
What We're Looking For
The school is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Drama Teacher with strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the performing arts.
You may be an experienced teacher or a strong ECT looking for your first permanent opportunity. The ability to create a positive classroom environment and inspire students to engage with Drama is essential.
You'll need excellent communication and classroom management skills, alongside the creativity and confidence to deliver practical and theory-based lessons.
