To deal with telephone, written, emailed enquiries and respond appropriately to
customer enquiries, complaints, requests for information and service requests.
- To assist customers in their understanding and completion of relevant documents
forms, applications and registrations, over the telephone, including where
appropriate addressing their special needs (disability, translation, interpretation
requirements etc) - It is envisaged that staff within First Response will also be able to initiate the
following:
• Refer to other agencies
• Order equipment for clients (following training)
• Amend referrals
• Screen referrals to gather further information - To process referrals and apply agreed eligibility criteria. This will involve collecting
extra information form the referrer, service user or carer where appropriate. - To accurately record detailed referrals, specifying clients needs.
- To work within agreed procedures, particularly those in relation to alleged
safeguarding adults. - To provide information and advice to members of the public from diverse
backgrounds, requiring care across a range of client groups Older People, Physical
Disability and Occupational Therapy. - To liaise with other departmental and non-departmental services and partner
agencies as required. - To sign post members of the public to access other services where appropriate.
10.To ensure that the Duty Manager is kept fully up to date with operational issues.
11.To support the service/ duty team
12.To deal with emails, letters and other aspects of First Response’s routine
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Examples and evidence which demonstrate your genuine motivation for continuing to develop a career in Adult Social care.
Awareness and understanding of the part that Adult Social Care plays in maximising the independence of vulnerable Adults – demonstrably gained experience or exposure to social care in a voluntary, paid or personal basis
Evidence that you understand the regulatory framework of The Care Act 2014 and the statutory responsibilities of the Council.
Examples that demonstrate were you have been in a challenging situation and what approaches you have taken to manage the situation to resolve.
Evidence that you are able to develop positive and productive relationships with people, including the ability to empathise, motivate and inspire as well as fulfilling your part of any requirement.
Ability to be creative and positive in identifying solutions with residents that maximise and build upon their strengths.
Ability to develop positive and productive working relationships with colleagues to deliver successfully both as an individual and as part of a team.
The ability to produce coherent, well-constructed communication, emails, letters as well as assessments, reviews, support plans and reports.
Ability to plan and prioritise work to meet service designed and performance deadlines. To contribute to statutory departmental targets
Knowledge and awareness relating to the diverse demographic of Haringey communities. To address unconscious bias from different racial and cultural backgrounds
