The Role:

We're hiring a Digital Visibility & Engagement Manager to make ApprovalMax discoverable and keep our audience engaged. If you work in SEO, you already know the landscape is shifting. AI Overviews are cannibalising keyword positions on the SERPs. Search has fragmented across Google, LLMs, and social channels. Core updates keep coming as Google works to stay relevant. Updating your meta descriptions and publishing another keyword-targeted blog post isn't really what's cutting it today.

None of this means SEO is dead. It means the role is evolving, and some of the best SEOs are evolving with it. Some are looking closely at GEO. Some are thinking harder about user intent and what actually happens after someone clicks. Most agree that SERP visibility alone is not how you win the game anymore.

We used to have a dedicated SEO specialist. As SEO is shifting, we've realised the role needs to be bigger. SEO is still super important to us, but so is GEO, so is AI visibility, and so is engaging prospects after they find us. The tactical SEO execution (content briefs, article audits, backlink research) can be supported today with AI tools and freelance content writers. But the strategic layer, the thinking, the architecture, the decisions about what to target and why, that needs a person who really knows search and visibility.

This role is for someone who can do all of that and wants to do more.

Search visibility . You're the SEO and GEO owner. You're the number one person when it comes to search visibility and AI visibility at ApprovalMax. Organic is our #1 traffic source with the best conversion rate, and you protect and grow it. You understand how content architecture works. You know how to build clusters, plan keyword strategy, and what it takes to rank in competitive niches, including building backlinks. We operate in YMYL territory (accounts payable, financial controls), so content quality and trust signals genuinely matter. You have a knack for building content that works, from writing briefs to shaping the structure of the site. You have a supportive team and an AI tech stack behind you. You're not doing this alone.

Engagement . You co-own the prospect journey from first touch through to trial signup. When you build your content and capture user intent, you also think about the journey. If someone is interested in financial controls, you think about how to give them more of that. How to nurture them. We have tools that identify website visitors so we can reach them with relevant content and messaging. You help shape how we engage visitors on our website, build nurture copy, run our prospect newsletter, and work with the team to make sure the experience after the click is as strong as the content that got them there. This isn't a website manager role. It's about connecting visibility to engagement.

Who You Are:

You're someone who is genuinely skilled in SEO. This isn't something you picked up as part of a website redesign or did alongside ten other marketing tasks. Search has been a real part of your job. You might currently be working as an SEO specialist or in a content role with heavy SEO ownership. But you also see that the market is shifting, and you want to grow beyond pure SEO into something broader. You want a role where your SEO skills are the foundation, but you also get to shape the engagement experience and build something bigger.

You're comfortable with AI tools and use them to work faster. You understand that AI can accelerate execution but it doesn't replace the strategic thinking that comes from really knowing how search works.

Must-Haves:

  • 2-4 years of hands-on SEO experience where you owned or contributed to strategy, not just writing content with keywords, but deciding what to target and how content connects

  • Working knowledge of content architecture: topic clusters, pillar pages, internal linking, keyword cannibalisation

  • Familiarity with E-E-A-T and how it applies in regulated or high-trust niches

  • Experience using Ahrefs or SEMrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics

  • Experience with link-building outreach

  • Some experience in email marketing, nurture workflows, or digital engagement (HubSpot preferred)

  • Comfortable using AI tools as part of your daily workflow

  • Analytical mindset: you use data to make decisions

  • Self-starter who manages their own priorities

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

Nice-to-Haves:

  • GEO/AEO experience: optimising for AI search results, schema markup, structured data

  • HubSpot Marketing Hub experience (email, workflows, segmentation, reporting)

  • Experience running a newsletter or building a digital community

  • B2B SaaS or fintech marketing background

  • YMYL niche experience (finance, healthcare, legal)
