Paediatric Complex Care Assistant (Tracheostomy experience)

Client Overview:
The client is a happy 7-year-old girl who lives at home with my mum and her older brothers. The client also spends weekends with dad at his flat. She has a tracheostomy, and it needs to be kept it clear at all times, along with having emergency equipment nearby. The client attends Primary School during the week. Although her communication and cognition are delayed due to her condition, she can babble, smile, and enjoys socializing, especially with her favourite people, like my mum and dad. She is friendly, playful, and loves spending time with my family and familiar carers. She also enjoys school activities and loves watching TV or playing with her tablet.
What HFH offers?
- Hourly pay rates range between £14 – 17.93 p/hr*.
- Typically, our client base requires ongoing care, 24 hours a day, and benefit from the continuity of a small core team of regular care staff.
- Our specialist carers work with one client per shift and do not travel between multiple homes. The average shift is duration 12hrs.
- Where possible we will offer you work to meet your availability and as a guide, the average carer works three shifts (36hrs) per week for us and earns £500 - 555 p/wk*.
- The regular working patterns that our clients require mean this three day a week work pattern equates to an average annual income of between £26,200 - £28,950*.
- We employ all staff directly and manage all aspects of your pay via PAYE, rather than Limited Company or Self-employed status. This removes the need for you employ third party companies or calculate your own tax. PAYE also protects you from breaching IR35 tax regulations.
· *Please note: This is dependant of their shift pattern (days/nights/weekends) and these rates shown are inclusive of holiday pay which is accumulated per hour worked.
