The Venue

Olympia Events is one of London’s leading live event venues, hosting world-class exhibitions, entertainment, conferences, and cultural experiences throughout the year. We are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and creating a welcoming, energetic environment for both visitors and staff.

The Role

Our Cafe Supervisors supports the day-to-day running of retail operations during exhibitions, conferences, concerts, and live events. The role involves supervising retail staff, maintaining high customer service standards, supporting sales targets, and ensuring smooth operational delivery in a fast-paced events environment. All of our locations have coffee machines, so you'll need to be barista trained.

Cafe Supervisors act as a key link between frontline staff and management, helping ensure visitors receive an excellent experience while operations run efficiently and safely.

The Responsibilities

  • Support the Retail and Events Management team during live events and busy trading periods

  • Supervise and motivate retail staff onsite

  • Lead team briefings before shifts and ensure staff are fully prepared for event operations

  • Support the training and development of new and junior team members

  • Assist with the setup, operation, and close-down of retail kiosks and event spaces

  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently delivered

  • Monitor stock levels, cleanliness, and compliance with health & safety procedures

  • Support smooth operations during high-footfall events and peak service periods

  • Operate and oversee cashless EPOS systems and ensure accurate transactions

What we're looking for

  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or event supervision

  • Barista trained

  • Experience working in fast-paced live event, stadium, exhibition, or venue environments is desirable

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Confident communicating with both staff and customers

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure

  • Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and major event days

  • Passion for delivering high-quality customer experiences in a busy events environment
