Head of Internal Model Design
Orange Malone is working exclusively with a large life insurer to find a Head of the new Internal Model Design team.
The successful candidate will lead a team of five and be responsible for the design and implementation of the new Internal Model, laying the groundwork for a series of major and minor model changes in 2027.
This is a strategically important position, with a remit comparable in seniority and impact to the MA function. The successful candidate will lead the design capability, bringing a blend of:
- Strong design thinking and prototyping capability
- Technical expertise across internal models
- The ability to engage effectively with regulators, particularly the PRA
- Strategic oversight and leadership
Importantly, this role will also play a key part in shaping the future team, including involvement in hiring decisions once in post.
