Shift Supervisor
Warehouse Shift Supervisor
Location: Chessington, Surrey
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: Sunday to Thursday (Late Shift)
- Sunday: 10:00am - 6:00pm (or potentially 12:00pm - 8:00pm)
- Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Objective
- Manage commercial activity of transporting goods to customers, ensuring focus on great customer service, internally and externally
Responsibilities
- Manage Team ensuring they are working to company standards
- Manage Routing Controller, developing them to achieve all goals
- Become an operating system expert
- Manage daily routing, picking, and dispatching process, focussing on an ever-improving system
- Route vehicles via our Merlin system to ensure efficient deliveries adhering to our day 1 order, day 3 delivery promise, improving where possible
- Consolidate deliveries to ensure efficient site visits
- Print and distribute picking lists to warehouse team
- Address stock issues to be able to create accurate dispatch notes
- Advise Stock Manager of stock discrepancies
- Work with sales team to allow flexibility within our operational framework so we can deliver superior customer service
- Work with Accounts team to resolve any invoicing issues
- Respond to all sales team routing queries quickly and effectively
- Reconcile all picking to route manifests to dispatch notes to ensure we have 100% accuracy prior to invoicing customers
- Assist the wider warehouse team in exploring and delivering operational efficiencies
Requirements:
- Senior Supervisor/Assistant Manager Experience
- Strong Geographical knowledge of London
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan for and adapt to workload fluctuations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Proactive, self-motivated, willing to learn and adapt
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Team player and ability to work independently
KPI's:
- Dispatch of all Orders/Routes every day
- Order to delivery day 1 for day 3 target (excludes back orders) - 95% achievement with current stock issues
