Learning Support Specialist Teacher
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Specialist Teacher to join a Secodary School from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a reflective practitioner with a passion for supporting young people to thrive both academically and personally. The Role The successful candidate will Provide targeted support in Literacy and Mathematics for individuals and small groups, primarily at Key Stage 3. Work collaboratively with subject teachers to monitor progress and set ambitious, personalised targets. Deliver consistently high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring students receive effective feedback that fosters growth. Contribute positively to a collegial team culture, engaging fully in staff meetings, professional development, and whole-school initiatives. Participate in the wider life of the school, including the extra-curricular programme.The Candidate We are looking for someone who Demonstrates expertise in supporting literacy and numeracy at secondary level. Brings creativity, patience, and adaptability to their teaching. Is committed to the holistic development of young people, valuing emotional, social, and academic growth equally. Enjoys working in a collaborative, progressive environment where innovation and reflective practice are encouraged. Seeks to engage with professional development opportunities and the latest educational thinking.
