IBA Manager
About the role
We are looking for an experienced IBA Manager to take full ownership of our bordereaux reconciliation processes across both scheme and TOBA business. You will deliver and oversee the full IBA function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within a fast-growing Insurtech environment.
Working closely with a diverse and talented team, you will play a critical role in de-risking complex bordereaux processes, improving cash flow, maintaining regulatory standards, and partnering with our commercial teams to enable sustainable growth.
What you'll get up to:
Own the bordereaux reconciliation process for scheme and TOBA business.
Manage complex bordereaux flows across UK, EU, and London Market carriers.
Collaborate with underwriting and commercial teams to ensure accurate data flow.
Deliver and oversee the full IBA function, including credit control, cash allocation, and insurer & client settlements.
Ensure timely collection and settlement of funds to optimise cash flow.
Maintain accurate and compliant client money records.
Produce and oversee month-end reports.
Provide insights to senior leadership and support decision-making.
Prepare CASS reporting for audit purposes.
Ensure full compliance with FCA guidelines, Client Money rules, and internal controls.
Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit queries.
Act as a confident and reliable key point of contact for insurers, brokers, TPAs, and internal stakeholders.
Liaise with London Market participants, Xchanging, and Lloyd’s of London.
Build strong working relationships with non-UK insurance partners and clients.
Use advanced Excel skills to analyse data, validate bordereaux, and streamline processes.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the IBA function.
About you:
Strong knowledge of bordereaux processing within the UK and EU markets.
Experience working with London Market processes, including Xchanging.
Exposure to Lloyd’s of London operations and settlement frameworks.
Solid understanding of FCA Client Money Rules (CASS 5).
Experience dealing with non-UK carriers and clients.
Skilled in reconciliation tools (Xero or equivalent).
Proficient with Excel, pivot tables, data validation, reconciliations.
Diligent, accurate, and efficient with excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication skills.
Able to confidently represent the business internally and externally.
