Teaching Assistant Immediate start Excellent rates of pay Ideal for a recent Graduate looking to develop a career in schools A school which performs within the top 10% of schools in the country A Teaching Assistant is needed in an All Girls Secondary School & Sixth Form in South London. This will be a full time long term Teaching Assistant position, with scope to go permanent. Working days and hours for this Teaching Assistant post will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant role will include but not be limited to: Supporting SEN and LAP students in group or whole class intervention sessions Working with the teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified Attending to students' social, emotional and personal needs when required Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed The rates of pay for this Teaching Assistant position will be between £82.14 to £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant. The School An 'Outstanding' All Girls Secondary School & Mixed Sixth Form located in the London Borough of Bromley. The school site is located within a Conservation Area. Developments and refurbishments have taken place over time. As a result, the school has become equipped with brand new Art, Science and Sports facilities. Ofsted noted that teachers were highly knowledgeable and keen to teach children. They were observed to motivate pupils and nurture their desire to learn. Teachers are confident in their pupils abilities and are always happy to provide extra support to them when needed. Assessment and learning overall was graded as excellent across the school.
